An annual multifaith festival exploring issues facing young multicultural Victorians

The Faith Communities Council of Victoria, in partnership with Boroondara Interfaith Network and City of Boroondara, would like to invite you to the 2022 Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival on Sunday, November 13, @ Hawthorn Arts Centre.

About this event

The Faith Communities Council of Victoria, in partnership with Boroondara Interfaith Network and City of Boroondara, would like to invite you to the 2022 Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival on Sunday, November 13 2022 @ Hawthorn Arts Centre.

About the Festival: The Victorian Interfaith Networks Festival is a grass-roots conference which aims to help build the capacity and sustainability of existing multifaith/interfaith networks, bring people up-to-date with current multifaith/interfaith matters and provide networking opportunities.

In 2022, the Festival will focus on young people, with young speakers, facilitators and performers.

Date: Sunday, November 13, 2022 Time:12:00pm – 4:30pm

Location: Hawthorn Arts Centre, Main Hall, 360 Burwood Highway, Hawthorn VIC 3122

Schedule:

  • 11:30pm: Registration Opens
  • 12:00pm-1:25pm: Lunch, networking, faith and community stands
  • 1:30pm-2:30pm: Session 1: Welcome to Country, Entertainment with Kundalila, and Talk on: ‘What creates a sense of belonging for young people in a Multifaith and Multicultural society’.
  • 2:30pm-4:00pm: Session 2: Entertainment and Talk on: ‘How young people are negotiating religion, sexuality and diversity’. Young people speak on their community projects.
  • 4:00pm-4:20pm: Closing ceremony
